Walnut Decò -Listone Giordano
Inspired by the wooden floors that adorn the palaces and royal residences in central and northern Europe, the Decó Listone Giordano tiles reinterpret the timeless classic, finding new life in residential and non-residential projects, also inspired by modern architectural canons.
Even today, in fact, modern processing techniques combined with the taste of great architects allow for the production of extremely high examples of floor decoration. Interior design historians believe that the design of the parquet panel is of Italian inspiration, and it is plausible to think that the Versailles parquet constitutes a reworking of Serlio's flooring, revised in a decorative key. The panels with the lattice arranged diagonally with respect to the frame were more widespread and are still called Versailles parquet, while those with the lattice parallel to the edge are defined as Chantilly parquet.
